Boulder Falls
Located just below the Clone 7 block (of Bear Crossing), this is the steepest section of our Cabernet vineyards, made up entirely of Clone 4. It is a massive Cabernet with saturated tannins that requires less patience than Bear Crossing. In the summer of 2005, during ground preparation for planting, the heavy equipment unearthed a boulder measuring 13 x 11 x 10 feet and weighing approximately 50 tons. However, it did not like getting shoved around and instead barreled down this steep slope where it is now in its final resting place.
