2007 Syrah
Under Gerhard's watchful eyes, two friends in the neighborhood joined forces with us during the spring of 1999 and planted identical Syrah clones and rootstocks on their properties. The total acreage for these vineyards is just below two. This is now our seventh vintage from these exquisite vineyards that surround the picturesque Mt. George, an inactive volcano situated northeast of downtown Napa. Gerhard’s diligent farming and extreme crop thinning has led to this beautiful wine.
Vineyard: Delectus & Humble Vyds.
Appellation: Napa Valley

Case Production: 350
Barrel Aged: 22 Months

Tasting Notes
The nose is very organic and earthy. Remnants of oak tree bark and damp forest flora (moss & fern) are combined with dried marionberry and nutmeg. This syrah offers chewy and seamless tannins that saturate and linger on the mid-palate. Then sprinkle dust some white pepper to finish.
