2004 Dirty Old Dog
Our charming and adventurous old dog, Flash loved running around on the Delectus Ranch. To cool off, he always found a refreshing oasis... mud puddles! We just could not help ourselves: he was truly a dirty old dog! This wine has opened up considerably in the past year, showing off exciting complexity that will take your breath away. Flash's third vintage is also Merlot dominated: 82% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 7% Petite Sirah.
Tasting Notes
Initial aromas of clove, grappa and blackberry pulp fold into pomegranate and camphor. A lively palate features juicy cherry, chocolate truffle, hints of clove and a long finish.
